Its not always the destination that counts its the ride, having a destination just stops you going round in circles.

Did mine in order to remove some paint drops and worked fine, ofcourse had no x type liquid but the sponge was type 0000 as the narator states in his video.

I've done it in the distant past and had great results but the years have dimmed not only my windscreen but also my memory, forgotten all about it.

I use Mr Muscle Window & Glass Cleaner for house and car windows. Crystal clear!

The secret ingredient is Vinegar. Soapy water with a drop of vinegar and use news paper to polish

It is weird! Every time I try a new glass cleaner, it seems to be the best thing since sliced salami!

However, after a few times, it just doesn't seem to cut the mustard, but don't ask me how I get mustard on my windows. Same with the car! So, I try something else. Brilliant! Literally  ::)

A few times in, rubbish! I've tried everything on the market just about as I have a 'thing' about crappy glass, including the chip shop special!

At last, I have the solution, literally, to hand! At least for the house and the car's flat glass!

I bought love of my life a K'archer window vacuum thingy and it's amazing! Whatever the 'solution' is, it is a) very effective and b) very expensive  :(

Well, I borrowed loml's pressie a couple of times and I thought I gotta get myself one of these. So, eventually I bit the bullet and went out to buy a new number plate for the Black Beast!

While I was waiting in Halfrauds I spotted a whole pile of K'archers at £60 or so and was trying to decide if I was too tight to buy one but luckily the girl came back with my new plate so I grabbed it and ran; straight into a whole pile of virtually identical window vacs at a mere £20 by Beldray!

I rushed home with it and fitted the new plate and then set about the windows. Now, being £20 rather than £60 it didn't have any special wizzo window gunk in the kit so I read the instructions and it said to use a few drops of washing up liquid in water in the spray bottle that came with it.

These things are amazing. Dried bird and spider poo on the outside needs a bit of work, but once the glass is 'clean' then two minutes a month whizzing round with this thing and everything is tickety boo; my man who does has never been so happy  ;D No streaks, no smears when the sun gets in just the wrong position, no drips and no rubbing and scrubbing! Simples!

So, trying to claw my way back on topic, I use a window vac with a spot of washing up liquid for the house and the 'flat' glass on the car, inside and out. On the car, I then finish the outside with Rain X glass cleaner and rain repellant. Do not use this amazing stuff on visors or bike screens cos it eats plastic over time, don't ask how I know!

Now, I have used Rain X on the house windows before now but have given up since it takes mere minutes to do the whole garret with the vac wotnot and I am still on my first few drops of washing up liquid with half a bottle of soapy water left even after doing the whole house about 4 times!

Of course, just like Rob, I still have problems with the car windshield. It slopes too much to get the vac down the bottom, it curves too much to use the vac sideways and it is wayyyyy too long a reach for my arms to get to the bottom.

I am currently using this amazing gizmo to do the inside of the car screen....

an extending arm with cleaning pad on end, one for cleaning and one for polishing. Don't even need to get in the car. £1 from the local charity shop but no name and so when it's gone it's gone!

Still doesn't get the streaks off though  :o

Brian (who thinks his car windscreen should 'rotate' like his house windows so his man can do the inside from the outside  8) )
