Thats a great story,Costas, and well told too!
Like Brian,I don't have kids-far too selfish,(I come from a big family and never wanted the financial and emotional burden that my folks had to suffer).
But I have made a mental commitment to try and get more people interested.I've had a fantastic life of motorcycling, and I want to help others enjoy what I have had...it might be a few years because I'm not retired yet but I think about it quite often already.
Since the IAM thing,(and I hope that what I've written about it on here shows how much fun I had doing it ),I realise that a lot of people get into bikes, but they never really grasp what,"it",is all about...and then they move onto something else, lost to bikes, possibly forever.
Over here there is too much emphasis on the danger, and not enough on the excitement...but as your story shows there ARE young people who see past the Health & Safety propaganda .
Having said that you sound exactly like the sort of dad most kids would want!
