I really think i need Covid to be over ... i have spent many an hour now tinkering and adding bits n pieces to the beast.  Latest addition was the Cansmart .. yes i have been drawn in by the marvellous YouTube videos from A Bike Thing. .. so i lifted the cansmart / Denali horn and rear LED brake light.   So as I looked for a pro finish routing of cabling from front to back i ended up learning a huge amount about panel removal and replacement ... fabulously easy as any bolt on display is all you require to remove very very few hidden plastic clips n bits like on my Africa Twin.

Anyways the good news was all screws that were removed in the dismantling phase found a home on the reassembly of all the fairings my question is this ... does anyone have a good place to get say a batch of different size faring screws and the nylonwashers ... i seem to have a huge number of nylon washers missing which i would like to replace and a bag of spare screws I can’t help but think would be useful.

Just awaiting the GIVI plate to fit on the alurack and i will have the option of a top box .. then I would like to think i am done with upgradeitis ... maybe then i can focus on getting to grips with maintenance .....

If my memory serves me well I think Brian found a supplier for the Hexalobular (Torx) washer head screws, he'll be along when he gets up. As for the nylon washers, there must be reams of suppliers out there. Including these

What Brian did was buy a gazillion screws and sit and sort them into bags to fit all the fairing bolts on the K13 S only from memory. They didn't look as 'smart' as the originals as the law had changed to make all bolt manufacturers stamp the type of material on the head of the bolt but that is now true for all new ones I guess.

I can't remember who supplied them but Kays Fasteners is my current preferred supplier for nuts screws washers and bolts.

As to your comment about washers...K fairing bolts don't have placcy washers as standard. Being anal, I make my own from coloured plastic bottles.

The cheapest place to get replacements is your local BMW bike dealer. They must have boxes of the things in their workshop because every time my bike goes in, it comes out minus a bolt or two
