The last stall, my ankle, and for sale
« on: August 14, 2020, 01:50:49 pm »
I've had this K1300S for just over 4 years, and I have learnt that it does sometimes need more revs to start, as it can sometimes stall.  Well I tried to do a u-turn last weekend, and it stalled and down we went together.  Good news is that my left leg protected the bike from the majority of damage - some scratches on the fairing and bar end (I have spare bar ends from the standard bars). Bad news is that the foot doing the protecting got broken, and I'm now in plaster for 6 weeks  ::)
I've been thinking about the replacement bike and this kinda seals it for me.
Every bike has it's idiosyncrasies, so I'm not blaming my poor bike , but its time for me to sell it now, so ...

For sale: K1300S 2014 30 Year Edition just had BMW 30,000km service, some scratches to left hand panel, can deliver but it'll be minimum 6 weeks  ;D

It sounds like a Lambda sensor problem.
Get well soon.

OK it's supposed to be a picture of the bike not a leg! It is now a war crime to post links to images!

Oh yes, get well soon :p. I understand the annoyance but yeah it's a fault and can/should be rectified. Spilt milk and all that but please don't passively aggressively torture the bike with hurtful words :p.

Ouch, more for the bike than the leg.

It could also be the Idle Control Valve needing a quick whack...

And I'll add on behalf of Philip that it could be the fricking exhaust valve sticking!
