Fairly sure they are twin spark but could be wrong. Vines always tried to charge me for four spark plugs on my 1150 GS which was the last of the single-spark 1150's... ::)

Maybe the 1200 is different.

Ah!

Just having a look, this picture I tihnk is the 1250 and I assume the single cap implies a single plug yeah?

Price is good Brian, same work here would cost on pounds 210, so not a huge diferance. Still we delivered washed and shiny and the coffee is 10 meters fm your bike, plus two good looking women at your service for coffee and chat at the lounge area and if you're really a good chap coocies.
Embrace the wind.

That's exactly what I did in 2013 and it was the best, most customer focussed service any of my bikes have ever had.

And the other Costas, the service manager, was the embodiment of what old-fashioned service used to be in the UK. He assured me that when they all went on the BMW corporate training events they were all told that customers were not their 'friends' but were fee-paying members of the public.

Costas assured me, with a glint in his eye, that I was now a new-found 'friend' along with all his regular 'friends'.

Oh, and the food, the drink, the weather and the social life were pretty spot on too... :)

There is no mention of a second sparker and on the 1150 from 2003 on it was fitted beneath the head so couldn't be seen unless you got run over by one. I guess the sexy and expensive cam drive system has moved the engine on in terms of emissions which is what the second plug did for the 1150's.

Aah thanks Bri :). Interesting stuff. I will search for some images of that one and learn something today :).

Also I love the idea of a ride out to Greece for a service. And then at the next home service just casually mentioning "oh yes last time I thought I'd try Greece."

North Oxford did notice the Greek BMW dealer stamp in the K12 service book and it was a hit with the guy who bought the bike from me.
