I'm on the far west coast in County Kerry.... perched on a hill overlooking the sea. Next stop America.

Detached with 4 odd acres, bunch of sheep and spectacular views. No mortgage and all for less than the cost of a semi in the UK.

We bought it to escape England (Brexit was the last straw) and to get a place where we could live off the land if the balloon goes up.

Now living and working here and wont be coming back.

I thought I had bad wind but its nothing compared with this place. If it ain't bolted down, its gone.

On the other hand the Irish people are lovely and there are some of the best motorcycle roads in the world just outside the gate.

I envy you having the balls to pack up and go Dave. Well, not balls, because I moved into the rural Welsh Marches three years ago and could easily have done what you did.

More, I envy your situation that allowed the move. Well done.

That's kind of you PH.

Yes, it was an upheaval.

Had to be done though and the people are so friendly, its worth it just for them.

Gawd bless their little leprechaun hearts. ;D

Great place for bike touring. And der craic.

If anyone coming over here let me know. I can provide a good tour route.
