Does anyone know what this is for?

I when to B&Q (to get a nail bar to fix a stile, though that's not really relevant) and came across this...

I know what the snips and screw driver bits do, though they've never been things I'd  have put in the same set. But  I have no idea what the other press thing is or what the small spring loaded chuck thing is for. Can anyone explain or do I have to spend £12 to find out?

Supplementary question... Why is it frequently bought with a spade?

If it matters what gear you’re in, the engine’s too small.

I used mine to make a nice pattern on the edge of my treacle tarts.
