How to post photos - the definitive links!
« on: September 25, 2019, 11:36:44 am »
How to post photos. Each has a simple guide:

From Google Drive:
https://eurokclub.bike/index.php?topic=3699.0

From ImgBB:
https://eurokclub.bike/index.php?topic=2500.0

And general cloud-based image guidance:
https://eurokclub.bike/index.php?topic=63.0

Lastly, the reason we don't allow direct uploading of images into the forum is because it would cost Brian a fortune in storage.

Great woork on the 'How To' Rich.

Rae did the ImgBB, & Paul did the general guide, so I'm merely standing on the shoulders of giants.
Hence my height. :-*

It's an optical illusion, I only look shorter because I am getting wider.

It's worth noting how to reduce the display size of pictures that are held on a server full size.

The addition of the "width=800"  to the start [img] instruction will size your picture correctly:

IMAGE-URL[/img)

Note that the round bracket used above needs to be replaced with a square bracket for this to work!

Other "width" sizes can be used, the smaller the number the smaller the picture.

Thanks to Rich for working this out.
Correct rear brake use is scientifically proven to shorten stopping distances in EVERY road situation.

Show you know what you're doing and use your rear brake!

Cold and miserable day here at Phmode Hovel so decided to investigate a different image hosting service to the bastards at BotoPhucket...

ImgBB seems popular among our members so I trotted off to them and found their Terms of Service...

"Terms of use of Imgbb service
What cannot be uploaded to Imgbb servers:

Copyrighted images if you don't own copyright for it
Violence, racial intolerance, or advocate against any individual, group, or organization
Any other images that might be considered illegal in USA or EU countries
Also, don't use Imgbb to host image libraries you link to from elsewhere, content for your website, advertising, avatars, or anything else that turns us into your content delivery network.

If you are not sure whether image you want to upload is allowed then do not upload that image. All uploaded images are checked by staff and images that violate terms will be removed without warning and uploader of such images might be banned from website."

So, how is this different from PhotoBucket?
