Are you still using the ointment to get some relief from that brief episode  ;D

I can still feel the pain.
Correct rear brake use is scientifically proven to shorten stopping distances in EVERY road situation.

Show you know what you're doing and use your rear brake!

For saltboxer, and anyone else who suffers lower back pain...

I’ve found what works for some, doesn’t work for others. My pain originated in the flute muscles. I’d visited countless Ostiopath’s and chiropractors over the years. It was by a chance conversion that made me visit a sports therapist. I’ve been pain free for about three years. BUT, I do stretch daily and exercise (lift weights) three to four times a week as a maintenance program.

As someone else said, find someone with a bar conversion and have a go. Those few moments leaning back with your fingertips on the bars may be ok, but how will you be in an hour or so... ??

I think we are all guilty of lavishing more care and attention on our bikes, cars, horses, goldfish etc. etc. than on ourselves. My gym sessions have dwindled over the winter, (mainly because of a significant road closure which means either a 15 mile detour or taking your chances along a narrow, muddy lane with virtually no passing places) and I am beginning to feel the strain of moving the bikes around the garage and even putting the wheelie bins out  ::)

Stop taking your body for granted, it is the only one you've got and if the bike, car, horse, goldfish etc. doesn't fit you, get a different one  8)

I was  diagnosed in my mid 40s with early degeneration of the Lower Dorsal Spine attributed to heavy lifting and general construction related activities. I visited numerous Osteopaths over the following years and now as I'm entering my dotage I cant reach my shoelaces anymore.
When I wake I'm as stiff as a board (the back that is) but as the day goes on flexibility returns.
I soldier on, as one of the smart arse Greeks once said "To Do is To Be" so I still lift and carry and believe in "use it or loose it" (the back again)

This is getting away from Helibars but I just felt like a winge ;D

Checked out the members map. I'm gonna have some fun getting that lot banned ;D ;D

Your symptoms are all too familiar. Most of us put it down to old age and a mis-spent yoof  8)

Use it or lose it, absolutely
Although using my K has led to me losing my licence, albeit briefly  ::)
