Grip Puppies
« on: May 08, 2018, 11:25:49 am »
Just had the pleasure of splitting & peeling a pair off. Very satisfying.
Left them on for first two rides, hated them. They also render the heated grips near-useless.

Agree totally, couldent ride without them and find heated grips work fine.

Love mine but heat restricted from grips.
Seems some heated grips work better than others, I wonder why?
Is there any adjustment on the heat settings?
Its not always the destination that counts its the ride, having a destination just stops you going round in circles.

Dont get me going on heated Grips.
2016 K1300s Motorsport and heated grips almost useless compared to last 2014 K1300s. Dealer fitted new grips and just the same. Informed them they could adjust as per Costas previous comments but unable to raise as within the 10 degrees output band?? WTF, have they tried being out in frost on winter morning. That extra 10 degrees would be toasty hot, just like my last bike.
Come on surely somebody knows how to do this without gizzmos and hefty bill??? rant over

I have grip puppies on all of my bikes, I don't like how modern bikes appear to have quite narrow bars.

The heat comes through it just takes a little longer, the other advantage is they protect the very expensive heated grips from wear and tear

The grips on my 1150 GS were shaped like a slender barrel, much more comfortable than the cheese-cutters on the K.

The members map has the location of members with GS911 who are willing to share, look for the red pins.
