Ilmberger hugger
« on: August 25, 2017, 07:52:28 pm »
I had my tyre changed to the roadtec 01 on Wed and it is catching on the tyre on the right side worse than it did on the M3.
The hugger was second hand and advertised for k1300s is the any way to tell if it's for the 50 profile tyre.  I can't see a part number. Feeling peed off.

If it was for a 1200 bike it's narrower so need to trim it.

Has anyone got a measurement from edge to edge please. It seems to be in one area, it's coming of later to check properly.

I also have an Ilmberger hugger and Roadtec 01s on a K1300S - no clearance problems.
There is approx 10mm clearance on each side. Bit difficult to get an accurate measurement without taking it off, but it seems to be 205mm.

Left and right pictures here ... and yes, its dirty after this mornings ride :)

I've contacted ilmberger last week with the numbers I had and they have promptly replied bit with no real answer as yet.
Would spacing the hugger to bring it to the right a few mm help.
