+1 for electrically heated gloves.
Mine are from Keis - easy to either plug in (to a heated jacket) each time or leave hanging on the cables (like the gloves on a string my mum made me wear!)
Three heat levels from cosy to burny-hot. Combine with heated grips and have whole-hand comfort at the flick of two switches.
Commuted in mine last year down to -3 celsius.
