Bolts are M6 x 22mm and within a gnats whisker are at 31mm centres. Mine are still on the bike, so don't take the centre spacing as gospel.

markw996 could I ask a favour please, as you have your mirrors off would you be able to measure the mounting holes centre to centre and tell me what diameter the bolts are please?  :)

Very sorry, but I'm happy to say they aren't off any more :(

They are now very much fitted and looking much more like mirrors than banana skins!
(although the effect was starting to grow on me...)

After re-reading this......why do the bar end weights have to come off?

Only because if you leave them on then the bars and weights are dangling on the pipes and cables atc. Much better to drop em off (20 seconds) imho.
