K1300GT SARGENT PILLION SEAT WANTED

BAH!.In a fit of ebay madness,I bought a Sargent pilots seat for my K1300GT.It arrived today,and is in virtually as new condition.I was very pleased,for about 35 seconds...why I assumed it would fit with the standard pillion seat I'll never know....assumption,as they say, truly is the mother of all f*ckups....
So now I need the Sargent pillion perch
Bit of a long shot I know...I mean,why would someone have the back seat only,when you presumably can't use it without the front?
If you succumbed to the same madness and bought the  back bit and now want to rid yourself of it,
please let me know asap.
(Or you want the front seat and are willing to pay me what I paid for it,I'll let it go...)

The reason you wouldn't want the pillion seat Lance, is if you don't carry a pillion BUT you do have the Storage Pod in place instead of the rear seat. My bike came with the full set fitted (well, some of it in the Sport Cases, obviously ::) )  but I never use the pillion seat (well, twice in four years). So, there are users out there who may satisfy your need.

TomL was also looking for a pillion seat but I don't want to divest myself of mine as if I need to carry a pillion in a planned way, then I have to fit the Sargent one as my standard seat won't fit the bike with the Autocom under the seat.

I'm feeling really glum now,a visit to the Sargent website has explained all:
"IMPORTANT NOTE:
We have discovered that the BMW OEM seats for the K1200/K1300 GT underwent a change as of production date Novermber 22, 2006. This change effects the interconnectivity of the driver seat and passenger seat.

Due to this change, the Sargent World Sport Performance Front seat is NOT compatible with the BMW OEM rear seat for all models manufacturered after this date.

The Complete Two-Piece Sargent World Sport Performance Seat Set will fit on ALL K1200/K1300 GT models..

This development only effects the use of the the World Sport Front Seat with the BMW stock rear seat on the 11/06+ models of the K1200/K1300 GT."

The ebay seller has said he'll take it back,but I'll have to stand sam for the postage.I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and buy the Sargent rear seat

Alternatively you could search for an early model rear seat.

I have been doing that very thing: Sherlocks don't list one,but Motorworks intimate they have them.
They ask the buyer to state whether it's single or twin seat fitting,(my original seat has two connecting tabs,the Sargent has one larger central tab)
So they are obviously aware of the design change.
But....the standard seat won't match the Sargent front seat,so the question is price vs.aesthetics...save money and have a mismatched seat,(and advertise the fact that I can at times,be...er....thrifty...)
Or just stump up the ticket price for pillion comfort with a style bonus?

Maybe there is another way around this. In the old site someone had advertise a workshop ion UK that can make the seat alternations and correct this kind of mismatches. Unfortunately I cannot find the thread. But it was south, Surrey maybe?

Not certain where you live but Tony Archer in Huddersfield did a great job with altering the seats on my honda.
