Rukka Down
« on: March 24, 2020, 08:37:38 pm »
Long story short, wife is looking a new Rukka jacket the problem being all the new stuff has elasticated cuffs which no doubt is great on a cold day but certainly not for warm climes, which brings us to Rukka’s all sing all dancing jacket who’s name evades me but the price at £1450 didn’t BUT when looking at one they have a shiner inner black very thin jacket tried it on.... blimey.

Silly price in the UK eventually got one for under £150.... several weeks later tracked a ladies for my other half in Germany refused to post to the UK so got it posted to friends over there who then sent it too us cost £110 cheap they ain’t blimey even on a cold day only need a long sleeve tee shirt underneath.

FC Moto are doing them at £171 minus 15% on an offer code plus shipping at the moment - Im sorely tempted. Damn this lockdown, it's costing me a fortune in idle internet shopping........

The seller was Online Moto46 they are in Farnworth here in the UK???? but for some reason the price was in Euro 171 including post, bought mine in January so the exchange rate was a tad better.

Initially I was reluctant to buy one at that kind of money for an arty/farty puffa jacket  :) even having tried one on,but before our current calamity in the days when one could ride a bike  ::) I was gobsmacked I should have been freezing and wasn’t anything of the kind, best of all it rolls up into absolutely nothing...

We do practice equality in the house  ;D the ladies one is cut slightly different i’ve no doubt as the world slides into bankruptcy their will be bargains.

As i’m Typing this my wife tells me it’s onlinemoto.co.uk just looked all sizes £140

Really  :o

https://www.onlinemoto.co.uk/products/rukka-motorcycle-down-x-jacket-black

The other quirk is the arms have zips in them so you can turn it into a gillet but not at the top where you would expect them to be....

Precisely! Pack it in! :P

I assumed I needed this, but then remembered I now have a much less windy time on the bike, and actually i'm pretty happy with my baselayers setup in winter time... yes... shush!

Mmmm will be pondering this one
I have decided that my newly re-zipped leathers with EDZ layering are warmer in winter than my BMW Enduro textiles with the EDZ even with the windproof layer in. So something like this might be useful. Just need to wait 4 years until the stockmarket takes the pension slush fund back to last months levels...

When I first tried one on my logic was 'It can't be all that special' but god knows what's in it,but in the days when one could ride a bike..... remember having a short sleeved tee shirt and that under my Klim on a cold day!!!!

Is it just me, but whenever I see the subject 'Rukka Down', I have visions of a one-piece waterproof hitting the deck and shredding.

It's not just you. But also I think of Gerard Butler being wrongly accused of trying to kill the president.
