It's all psychological. Every time I fitted a loud pipe or can, even if it killed the performance the owner swore it was faster. So now your quieter your actually driving faster within the same psychological volume constraints.
It's also why witnesses always think loud bikes are going faster than they really are.

Indeed. And why wearing ear plugs for the first time is the best "performance add on" you'll ever fit.
I used to wear plugs because of the wind noise in my helmet  :o

Playing cards in the wheel spokes would solve this.. Not good if they have moon disc hub caps though

Keep it quiet(ish) don't bring attention to your self with 'da plod' , but loud enough so pedestrians hear you coming and don't step out in front of you

Unless you're on a 50cc scooter then run without any baffles it always gives me a good laugh.. ;D

Can you imagine how many accidents there will be when electric bikes are more popular.. you'll need to fit bulbar on the front or a couple of pillows

When i was an unruly youfffff before i got into bikes. We used to go to the Goat House pub in South Norwood on a Wednesday night to see the live band and one of our friends bought the GPz900 new and used to entertain us with wheelies up and down the streets after kicking out time at 11...

You couldn't do that today... The damn traction control steps in  ;D

Because the gauges are so inconsistent i say bring back the reserve tap. Just a button on the dash which gives you an few extra litres.

and just to throw another angle to this. Before setting off make sure your vehicle is roadworthy, lights etc. and if on a long journey have a look over all the components like axle bolts, chain slack (where fitted) and anything thing else you rely on..

and before you ask other than lights and do the wheels go round and tyres have no nails in them, I don't check anything i get on and ride mainly because i do all my own maintenance and my OCD prevents such errors, but yes the dealer should have checked the calliper bolt torques etc. and would be getting a very angry person in their showroom shouting from the roof tops if it were me.

Easy to 60 in the car, just foot down. Not so easy on the bike to get the same acceleration from a standing start, takes some skill to get the low numbers. I haven't mastered it because I'm wary of an off.
I'm very wary on my bike but with the traction control and ABS, you can just open it up...
0 - 100mph (on my private track) is there before you know it.
Now on my old Hayabusa that was a nightmare to get a decent start because of the clutch system on that can snatch quite early having you skywards or bogged down..

Can't see much wrong with that !   Nice car though, even though it's a  full second slower to 60 than the R !

Regards  Mick
I would imagine the biker wasn't going for it or expected the Jag to be

I had 3 of them in my time. The last one was an A7 which had a maaahoooosive 150 wide rear tyre and a 17" diameter front wheel up from the 16"

You can get IDE/SATA to USB cables that can connect to your computer, the issue is whether the drive has had it. Also how is the drive formatted and whether it's encrypted if it's Sky/TalkTalk box..
