Hi Steve and welcome to the madhouse that is EuroKClub!

Some more info on the leak would be good. Where is it from? Does it leak all the time? Only when the clutch is pulled?

Clutch seems to be leaking from  where the flexible part of the pipe joins the stainless steel ferrule, just before it joins the master cylinder. Only when the lever is pulled does it leak.

It can be difficult to see exactly where hydraulic fluid is leaking from and I've never heard of a pipe failing on a K.

Have you checked the banjo bolt for tightness and made sure it has proper washers?

Does your bike have the standard bars etc?

If the banjo bolt is tight and there is a copper washer either side of the banjo then the leak is probably from the hose.

Clean it off spotless with brake cleaner. Hold a wad of tissue tight around the ferrul and operate the clutch lever. The area of the leak should be obvious when you check out the tissue.

Welcome Steve.

There's nothing constructive or helpful I can add in relation to your clutch fluid leak but I hope you get it sorted soon.

Be aware that the clutch fluid is mineral oil and not DOT brake fluid. Filling or topping up with the wrong fluid will wreck the seals in the master and slave cylinders.

The above comment by Tom is most propably the culpable cause. The pipe is supposed to last 20 years , saying that we here have changed more than 4 so far , all in GT bikes.

if you find those washers to be a problem on saturday/sunday .... when you can't get a replacement put a piece of fine sandpaper on a flat surface and rub the washer against it with the flat of your finger, should leave a nice shiney surface with no black lines on it, as a bonus you get a lovely clean circle on your finger...
do both sides of both wasters and also the banjo bolt sides.
sounds like thats where the leak is coming from , unless the pipe has failed... hope its the washers, handy fix

If you really want the copper washers to work, heat them up to cherry red and drop them into a bucket of cold water.
