Steve, I think you are an absolute hero for sticking with this "Triggs Broom" of a bike and remaining a BMW customer and employee to boot. You are the BMW equivalent of a stick of Blackpool rock  ;)

:)

When I started at Chester I asked them to print out my history of warranty claims ..... 24 A4 pages :) ..... it's almost a new bike :D

Do you have a figure for what that would have cost you over the years Steve?

now there's a question :)

The main items
2 rear ESA shocks 1800 fitted = 3600
1 instrument console = 900
1 abs pump fitted = 1400
1 set throttle bodies = 400
4 fuel strips fitted = 800
snapped main stand .... 250
rear bevel 'cos of corrosion, 1400 (replacement was the same in 6 months)

so circa 8750 just for some of the larger items plus wheel bearings, dog bone bearings, steering ball joints, asc switch x 2, rear seat heat switch, fuel tank cap, cam chain tensioners, new clutch.

add in stuff not covered that I've paid for
left hand switchgear = 350 (although I got BMW to pay for 90%)
radiator = 550 ish
ignition switch can't recall 50?
exhaust headers used 200

I reckon it would have been cheaper for them to have just given me the bike and no warranty :D

It would actually have been cheaper to have given you two bikes and only charged you for one  ;D
