I suppose I've been otherwise occupied

Blimey Blimey Blimey  :o you have my genuine commiserations...I did exactly the same but that was 40 years ago racing an enduro bike and never a day goes by without it reminding, the only good news I can offer you will never need to see another weather forecast your shoulder will tell you  >:(

Get well soon not something to do at our time of life, is it plated??

Ouch! That's gotta hurt!

I hope you're all mended soon.

Broke the collarbone in the Westfjords in the north of Iceland.

Flew back to the UK and had it plated. This is the second time that I broke my right collarbone. My left collarbone has also been broken and plated.

Thank goodness for painkillers because it is very painful.

Ouch! In fact Ouch! and Double Ouch!

But never mind about the bones, what about the bike?

And more to the point, what happened? Most unlike you to misread or mis-ride.

Get healed soon.

The slower you pedal the more chance you will fall off...
