K1200 / K1300 Forum / Stand for sale / on wheels

As you know i am still waiting for the new S1000XR to be delivered and without a bike at present as just traded my K1300S as Lockdown hit us?? What can i say.
Anyways, i have a Constands side stand on wheels for sale. Was thinking about 50 quid or something like that.
Pics attached. Obviously have to be somebody in North East as would cost more to deliver.

Afternoon Gents, trying to get a price for a new middle section fairing Left hand side(when sat on bike) for my Motorsport K1300S.
Seem to be having problems going direct to BMW.
Any suggestions. Fairing in body shop for quote at present

Good evening,
Following some deliberation and have been riding the K1300s for about 5 years now. I have decided to give the S100XR a chance to win me over and ordered 2020 model last week. Therefore i have a 16 plate Motorsport K1300s for sale. Thought i would post on the forum to give any of you guys first refusal??
Full service history with 15750 miles. Panniers etc and in perfect condition. Been advised to try Â£10750 but open to offers. Can put some pics up if required and or PM me direct.

Morning gents, totally gutted this morning. Following years of commute to same place. Got off bike, side stand down in same place as usual. However moved forward and bike toppled over.
Now looking for gear lever, foot peg, bar end. Not to mention anywhere i can get fairing repaired. No cracks etc so lucky in that respect.
Carried out a check and all seem fine. However any other recommendations or advice.

Amazing how quickly i managed to lift bike up without hurting myself.

K1200 / K1300 Forum / Quick shifter issue

Anybody had issue with quick shifter. Just started a day or so ago. Going up through gears and no going in to 5 or 6. Not great when nipping on and no gear to change up. Following this is then takes a few minutes to even use clutch as normal. Not good. Any advice or adjustments that can be made would be appreciated??

Afternoon, anybody know where i can source used fairing undamaged for a 2016 Motorsport. RHS looking from front. Big bloody stone attacked me and took chunk out of fairing.

K1200 / K1300 Forum / baffle in and difference in riding???

Here is a daft one for you. Is it me or has something just clicked in my riding ability.
Decided to refit baffle as commuting all week and going to get in trouble with police at some point.
Anyways, it occured to me that i seemed to be a lot smother and at least 10 mph quicker through corners than normal.
The only thing i can say is that im longer really scrutinising speedo anymore and maybe that the difference. Anybody relate or am i just speaking sh**e,

K1200 / K1300 Forum / What use are the panniers

Well folks, as you may be aware when i bought the fastest colour Motorsport. It came with panniers etc. However never really used as have the big BMW bag(not the wife, lol).
Anyways, going down to Knockhill tomorrow with Gwen and thought i could use the panniers for an overnight stay. Would be fine for me, however does anybody know or have used these for any more than a pair of trainers. Rather useless i fear? Any comments on how to fit items in would be great. Im normally good at packing but feel a challenge coming on tonight when i show my darling wife he baggae restrictions, lol. $:-\$ $:-\$

Might seem like a strange ask?
However using top box etc as commuting to work every day or as often as weather allows. Over the last 2 years been in an office. Usually pack the shirts in bag and then in top box etc.
However shirts always creased on arrival. Has anybody seen a box or bag that flat and squarish that would take a shirt folded in half. Dont want a massive box, something flatish and just big enough.
May not exist but worth a try.

Ride Out Reports / Braemar / Sthradon Sunday ride out.

Well i must admit had a brilliant day out on Sunday with the brother in Law. Peterhead to Inverurie up through Strathdon to Braemar. Up through the Lecht to Tomintoul and took the Whiskey trail home over the Haugh of Glass and back to Peterhead. 250 miles all in. Amazing amount of bike out and no wonder at 23 degrees in Braemar. A group of Ford Shelby GT500 out for a trip and added a couple of pics of these as well.

K1200 / K1300 Forum / Fuel tank dilema

Morning Guys,
Need some help or advice. Before you all start calling me an idiot, I know

Anyway petrol required this morning. Keys in filler, open filler, wallet out of pocket. Opend wallet and a few coins fell out. Shock horror, disbelief and every other shocking emotion through my head.
Found coins on floor and to my horror 3 x 20 pence pieces lying in ring around filler. Thank god. However I now really don't know if any coins dropped in tank??
So my question to you all. Should I remove tank and find out if there are any in the tank? Leave well alone and hope for the best? What effect could the coins if any cause within tank. Could they block feed etc.

Ride Out Reports / At last a wee ride out today.

Little 210 miles today. Peterhead to Ballater via Inverurie & Torphins. Up over to Grantown on Spey then back through Whiskey trail to Keith. Cut over to Banff and home again. Road a bit damp in places but sun came out for a while. Down to 1.5 degrees going over the Lecht. All in all a cracking wee run and first decent ride out this year.

K1200 / K1300 Forum / Ram ball base mount

Sorry if already mentioned elsewhere. Could not find specific thread. Can anyone tell me if single ball mount is 1.5 or 1.25 thread pitch(10mm).
Just away to order one up. The Motorsport has helibars so cant use conical mount that went inside bars. Shame as these were great.

Up early this morning to go spinning than supposed to be going out on bike. Lovely day and was looking forward to first blast in a while. Then during spinning i go and ruptured Calf muscle. P**sed off to say the least.
