Man alive!
I'd like to see the run up but I imagine it would anger me even more.
I know a year is a long time, and 4 years is longer, and even the 2 he's likely to serve is still a while. And I know that just prison isn't the answer, and rehabilitation, education and generally 'levelling up' the population over generations is the answer, but for chronic recidivists it really feels like a different answer is needed.
14 previous offences, violent, impersonates police, dangerous driving. Does time in prison remove those 'tendencies'? I suppose if he was in prison until he was 80 then probably.
To be clear, I'd prefer it to be closer to keeping him locked up until he's 80, than a short sentence and no effort to prevent re-offending. This is why I said no when Tony Blair asked me to take over as PM. Way too complicated.
