How many miles does it have on it?

59,995. So almost just about run-in 😁

Back to the bike.. aluminium surface corrosion, does it really matter? I don't think it does TBH.

Well, of course it matters. To me! I have been trying to find a 'pristine' late plate Motorsport. Even with less than 5,000 miles they have more corrosion than mine so I won't be buying either of them.

Of course, if someone comes to see your bike and has seen all the others with the rot then it is down to price and mileage.

However, early K12's seem immune from the tin rot...

btw, Rybrook is now Sytner and they've finished the traffic lights so you don't need to go through the housing estate/building site to get to them.

For Sale / Wanted / Original K1300S decals black, both sides
« Last Post by carl0s on Today at 11:51:52 am »
I have had these hovering around for quite a long time and they have survived so far (some bending of backing-material edges on the opened one, but decal itself is fine).
Time to sell them on I think.

£75 delivered for the pair.

Well, I enjoyed when we got to see the paint job. But I didn't have 24 minutes free for the rest :p.

The key stuff is - for everyone just waking up to a new forum day - it's 09 plate and... how many miles?

I see front wheel carrier corrosion, how is the rear hub? I'll assume at least the same given how pants that part is.

Edit: oh how much for the Toyota Supra? :D

Ha, the toy Supra, my pride and joy wingless F&F Supra. Now that you mention it, I wonder where that has ended up? I want to find it now.
I lived most of my 20s on the MK4 Supra forums and that was always my avatar and I used it on other forums too. I sold my last twin-turbo (a lovely gunmetal facelift Jap-import TT auto) for £5,800 about 15 years ago :o

I would always advertise bikes on Auto Trader and take out a protected number so you don't get spammed to death. AT will also give you a comparable idea of current value.

Don't be fazed by the wheel carrier rot, two of the 'Pristine' Motorsports on AT at the moment have more rot on the front than my 2012 Sport. Good luck with the sale.

Thank you. I did say to my GF last night 'I expect a load of forum-standard "You've effed that up. It's worthless. HOW MANY MILES?" type comments.', so it's all good ;-)

My main gripe with autotrader, is the advert format. Yes you can put multiple large photos on there - great, but then you get a very limited text box. You can't even put in newlines or separate paragraphs. They just jumble up ~200 characters into a box.
Yes I realise that is probably preferable to 24 minutes of waffling and wobbly video, but.. :D

Yes, the upper and lower marks on the sight tube compare to what you would have on the real dipstick as Max and Min levels.

If you are the sort who can get off the bike and hold it upright without it falling on you (like Richard, unlike me) then you can check it off the stand but it must be upright and not on the sidestand and the 30 second wait time is because it is a 'damp sump' (© Stormin Norman) setup so you have to wait for the oil to settle back in the oil tank and sump.
