Maybe someone could add a link to this forum, and we can answer any questions from prospective owners (I don't have permission to comment in YouTube for some reason).

Watched this, made me miss the thing. But also his words on, and I paraphrase, "you have to actually try to make it go round corners" reflects my words to you and Brian t'other day. And to anyone who listens. Although he isn't the fastest of riders, but anyway.

It's MUCH easier to change direction quickly using pull counter steering rather than push counter steering.
Correct rear brake use is scientifically proven to shorten stopping distances in EVERY road situation.

It's a long bike, so agreed - you do need to use a fair bit of counter-steering if you want cornering to happen quickly. [EDIT: ah - wot he said!]
Or you can just roll on through, not hustle it, and make it up on the straight afterwards. Hence my square rear tyre.  :-[

It's a pretty fair review, and at £5k with all the bells and whistles (plus quickshifter that he completely misses) - and panniers for goodness sake - it's a damned good bike.

Takes me back to one of my last trips on the K. I set off from Brian's after him telling me pretty much the above :). And it did help for sure. I try/do it on every bike now but find it made the most difference on the K.

As someone who cannot remember the last time he ever rode a bike(any) one up I’ll take any option I can find and found it was a combination of various, ranging from aftermarket Sus/wheels but Sandbars Dogbones were always top of the list by some margin cuz they cost pennies as opposed too the other two which were serious bucks.

But since I also joined the ‘cheating club’ when I installed a 1300 gearbox and an aftermarket quick shifter, their really is another bike to be had if one can afford it,and that’s said with my K Parked next to a KGT and BM X/R.

But panniers……nope not going there.

The motorsport has the forged wheels and turns a bit easier than those with non-forged.

But what if you need to carry stuff?
Top box?
Pillion pack?
Rucksack?
Or is it just a credit card, kecks and toothbrush tucked in the jacket?

Take 3 bikes instead of one and spread the load? Like it.  :winkthumbs:

Not sure I can see the difference between a mahoosive rear bag and a pair of (tidy, low down) panniers, but we could place bets on which is more stable at speed.
Unless the panniers get in the way of a pillion's legs of course. Now that would make sense.

"you have to actually try to make it go round corners" ...

I found 25mm rear dog bones cured that - unfortunately with my sit-up Superbike bars and no traction control it also made it very wheelie prone  :o
