Mmmmm breaking the sound of silence.
« on: March 06, 2017, 05:50:34 pm »
As many of you know I had a stroke at Xmas and now two and a half months later I feel ready to ride at the end of the month. :)  I uncovered the K, inserted the key and pushed the button,  started first time and sounded great. It's my fist injected bike and it makes all the difference when its been sat a few months. Booked a bike safe course for me, my brother on a S1000rr and my son on his soon to be 125. Hopefully will see some of you guys for a ride out and a coffee.

Welcome news all round Dave.

Make sure you take plenty of 'tolerance' tablets to the Bike Safe day, although great events they can lay it on a little thick at times.

Did one a few years ago and I think I must have had a rogue cop. 120 mph on the M4  ;D . Excellent day out and no preaching.

Good on you Dave - see hello to Datchet if you head that way - my old stomping ground... if it's still there and hasn't carried away in a flood lately...!
Late emerging biker - took the first bike plunge at 50 with a 12GT : swapped for a 13S 9 months in... then got my mitts on a lovely 2014 13R Dynamic in rrrrrracing rrrrred! Then the COVID came along... so I upped it to France and bought a V85TT... O Sole Mio etc etc!

Motorbikes best tonic in the world  ;D
Light travels faster than the speed of sound that’s why some people appear bright until they speak.

Such good news Dave. Enjoy.
As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everybody is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

Excellent news, good to hear you're back in your feet and ready to ride your beauty.
Feeling obliged to congratulate you on your desicion to go on  a course before riding just to remember the basics, we all need to do so after ,for any reason, we are forced to stay away fm riding. Wish here we had that same attitude,  but we learn.
Embrace the wind.
