This was my Laverda 180 Jota, the previous owner to me had a big valve conversion done on it by a bunch of muppets called Motodd who succeeded in taking the valves out so far that the head cracked between the valve seat and plug hole. I remedied this by buying a brand new RGA Corsa head from Richard at Slater Bros. I traded it in 1990 against a new Suzuki GSXR750L and was given what was a good price at the time £3500, it would fetch a bit more than that now I think if still in the same condition.  ;D

Errrr yea 10 grand on a bad day.

It should have been nice Costas, I bought it thinking it was quite clean and tidy and then the nightmare unfolded and I spent 1 & 1/2 times more on restoring it than I did buying it! :)

Yes, about £15-18k.

Which is why I sold my Lav and got a BMW. Silly money.

(Lovely Jota, by the way!)

There can't be many things in life that make running a K seem like an affordable proposition  8)

Exactly. My last Lav fix was £2.5k. I still broke even - because the bike's price went up by £2.5k whilst the bits were being sourced and fitted.
The difference with the K is that I get to ride it was well as pay through the nose.
But I still love Lavs. But I am cured. I think:

It's a shame that the V6 never made it to production - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpiC1RNoM-w

I have been after one of these for a long time, and I now have this one on its way to me

  :)

I must confess I'd never seen one of these Super III's before but it does look nice and the original triple engine sounded nice so congrats on your new bike.  :)
