Hello from Newcastle, just purchased my first beemer.
I'm now the owner of a shiny black k1200s having been a lifelong jap sportbike fan my wrists finally convinced me to stop the abuse and go sports tourer.

You won't be the only K rider if you find the wrists still suffer a little; Helibars, Grip Puppies or the yoke off an R are all tried and tested remedies.
