Well it's all apart.
Clutch plates look good with no obvious wear, although they're bone dry.
Oil nozzle came out ok, but now I've found the pin I want to replace it with doesn't fit.
There is a shoulder in the shaft stopping it, now I need to decide whether to get pin milled down to fit or try getting more oil by a replacement nozzle.

so it would appear i have the updated clutch and oil nozzle, but i can't see how enough oil could ever get to the clutch through it.
i've now sourced the pin that slides into the shaft from a newer bike, and i'm going to attempt to remove the nozzle, modify the pin and try that.
fingers crossed

That's interesting costas, I'll give them a call.
However I have a receipt for a new clutch installed by bmw in 2007, and they billed the then owner for it.
Also, what's the green o ring for, on one of the clutch plate tabs?

Took cover off this morning to have an initial look at the release pin.
Trouble is I don't have one, just the bearing and what appears to be an alloy plug in the end of the shaft!
I can't see how enough, or any oil can get through.also there's nothing to keep the release bearing from twisting.
I've looked through lots of pictures and forums, but can't find anything like it.
Proper head scratcher.

Even if I could undo with an impact wrench, how could I torque it up correctly without locking the clutch in place

Fed up with the clutch squeal, so I think I'm going to pull it apart.
Anyone know where I can get hold of the clutch locking tool?
I know the part number is 21 4 651, but I've also seen this listed 214 600 at ascycles
Thanks for any help

Would the brembos be any better or worse than Armstrong wavy discs?

Should you change buttons and washers too?

There's a been a bit of noise at low speeds, but it's the first time I've really had a look.
I did an oil change over winter and the oil was clean, the bike has only done 18k

As title says really, if I spin my back wheel by hand there's a rumble from the back end.
There's no slack at all, just this slight noise, which I think I can hear while riding.
Is it normal, could it be usual noise for a shaft drive bike?

So , should I be waiting for the second letter telling me the part is in stock.
Or should I just ring my local dealer straight away?

Is there a definitive list of recalls anywhere?
Since I've got the bike I've had the cam chain jump guard done.
I know the previous owner had at least one done, but are there any BMW won't do unless pushed?
I do have a screeching clutch, but it doesn't effect its function.
Cheers
