I know that's what they were going to do before it went in, I wondered if that was what they actually did.

A bit of fault finding. Checked starter motor .. then switch... god knows what the part cost  ::)... the cynic in me thinks they might have tidied up previous work as she's running a lot smoother,  lower idle,...etc...

Operations :
Carried out quick test , no faults stored for start issue
Carried out components test, removed fairing and fuel tank to gain access to starter motor
Checked starter switch and wiring , found starter motor relay faulty
£115.90

Replace starter motor relay and reassembled bike
£97.60

Starter relay £13.34

Inc Tax = £270 odd quid  :-[

but as stated , she was running better when i collected her, lower idle etc so maybe a quick squint over tidied up some previous work....who knows. The main tech they have now is a bike owner , not to say the previous lads weren't but maybe just a more common sense approach applied by a biker rather than a tech ...if you know what i mean.

Aaaaaaaand now of course we have snow up here, so at least i have the bike home albeit i cannot use it currently .....ah well , wee victories
