Just picked up a bottle of Aldi 26 yr old Irish single malt for €49.00 and just for research purposes  and on your behalf I have just tried it. Absolutely superb, but be quick supplies are limited. UK price £39.99

Do we know from whence it comes, bearing in mind that Aldi and all supermarkets for that matter, neither make, grow nor distill anything?

My in depth knowledge of Irish (ie been drunk on many times whilst on business trips to the Emerald Isle) doesn't extend much beyond Black Bush, Jamieson's and the odd Paddy.

Needless to say its an educated guess as to its provenance, but the word in the still is that its probably Bushmills.
