K1600 Centre stand
« on: November 08, 2017, 09:58:10 pm »
My K1600 does not stand vertical when it is on it's centre stand, in fact it needs 6mm packing under the left leg to make it vertical.  This means that it leans on me as I put it on/ take it off the stand.  I have always found with previous bikes that when both legs of the stand touch the ground the bike is upright. Dealer thinks it is OK but what do they know.

Any similar problems or comments??

I think you should have included a photo so that we can see what it is like.
As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everybody is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

Are all the K16's in his showroom leaning over at a crazy angle? if not, something is worn, broken, bent or not fitted correctly. Simples!

Can't say I've ever seen one not upright in the showroom.

I remember watching in starck horror as a guy put one onto the stand while standing astride the bike; unbelievable! But it worked...
