There was a thread some months ago about an alternative to the GS 911, I can't remember it's title but perform a search, or wait for Richard to find it for you
Edit: no need to wait for Richard, I was feeling benevolent

Too kind, Rae
A cheap OBD2 does work, but I can't confirm if it cancels fault codes.
Half useful at best. Me, that is, not OBD2.
I had a go with EDIABAS first, no luck for me, but you may fare better.
In the end I went for a Bluetooth solution. See rough breakdown of the thread below:
- first couple of pages is me trying to suss Carl0s' instructions
- page 3 has useful TomL pic if you don't know where the connector is
- page 4 carries on (and on!) with the EDIABAS
- page 5 and I give up & go to Bluetooth dongle + Android app (

I can get data out, but I've never had a fault code - because I have no faults.
I should really pull a bulb and see it throws the fault.
If you like, I can step outside into the arctic gale tomorrow and jemmy a bulb out.
But first: can someone let me know if a GS911 can 'reset' a bulb fault, as in bulb is removed, and you can then reset the fault to disappear?
Or maybe some other 'safe' fault to create and reset?
