60 and 2/365th's
« on: June 12, 2018, 09:16:14 pm »
Well, despite expectations I've managed to get to 60 years of age (on Sunday) .... Went into work as it's a short day.

My colleagues treated me to a lovely Balvenie :) As well as decorating my desk

And my sister got me a new to me, Ardmore God help my liver :)

Then my kid brother and his wife took me to one of Chesters, nay the worlds, best steak restaurants, Upstairs at the Grill

https://upstairsatthegrill.co.uk/

Started off with a lovely blue cheese souffle, then a 24oz Aberdeen Angus sirloin on the bone, along with a huge selection of sides, and a port and cheese to round off. I'm glad my brother was picking up the tab as the steak was £39.50!

On Monday I bimbled around locally on my F800GS enjoying the glorious sunshine. Then today, Tuesday, I went for a spin on my BCR with my mate Barney on his. Went up to Barmouth for a coffee then on to Betws y Coed via some of Wale's finest roads :D

Barneys has a Lazer and mine has a Remus, must admit they did both sound well :D

Oh and the guys I go to Scotland with are joining me for dinner tomorrow evening to the Lemon Tree in Wrexham

http://thelemontree.org.uk/

All in all a good "weekend" :D

I'm applying for my free bus pass this week as in Wales you can claim one at 60 :D

Happy Birthday Steve.  :)

I got my bus pass at 60 in Hertfordshire. Came in very useful with various injuries which prevented me from driving plus the bus stops at the Lister hospital.
As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everybody is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

Well, what a lovely surprise in the office. Obviously not all as bad as the bosses  ::)

One assumes you have booked a bed in the local hospital for when the gastric system cries enough.

Happy belated and all that but do buses actually get up to your neck of the woods  8)
