That's exactly the issue, nothing will make you be seen...…………………………if they aren't looking. >:( Far too many distractions in modern cars, twiddling between menus, checking mpg and various menus, driver mode, bluetooth, sat nav, phone, "8"colour infotainment" screen ,screaming kids, etc etc. Its hardly any wonder there is so much bad driving and that even before the incompetent idiots get to play with the toys

Your plot of land on Islay, a square foot for each bottle purchased...

One of my plots is at...

LAT: 55.63253707 LONG: -6.151934169

I'm looking to swap plots of land with others until I have a piece of Islay big enough, in one piece, to have a right old shindig  :D
Just hope the sheep know whats coming  ;D

I wouldn't go by Sharp ratings alone, they are not the be all and end all, although they are helpful. Some people have questioned their testing methods.

The SHARP testing methods were, as I understand it, questioned by Arai when their helmets didn't do very well!!!!

There is no other independent testing available over and above the various mandatory requirements so it's the best out there.

Arais contention if I remember correctly was that a machine uniformly punching a helmet here and there in no way replicates real world random impacts.
Some bed time reading

Being something of a Imelda Marcos of helmets I have an Airoh GP500 which is ultra light, lovely to wear but leaks like a sieve  in heavy rain through the vents. I have an X Lite which is a lovely touring helmet, quiet, nice quality and has an internal sun visor which is great at this time of year. But like any woman with a love of favourite designer handbags , I always end up picking my Arai Chaser X which just fits like a glove on my Arai shaped head.

Howay Man! Welcome, hope you enjoy the bike.

I understand your point Brian however there would seem to be a huge difference between the "issues" on the first generation K12S up to 06 and the later 07/08s. Perhaps the differences between the last K12s and the K13s are not as great? My bike has absolutely beautiful fuelling and throttle response and believe you me I know what bad fuelling on an injection system can be like :-\  :(

Sadly true Rae, they have a pretty poor reputation.

I love my 2007  K 1200s and would disagree with the majority here who own K13s that you should go for a K13. However I must agree with the suggestion that a 2007/8 K12S would be far better than the earlier
servo assisted models.
