A reasonable run through for anyone thinking of having a go, and bonus! its not in Spanish! although if required I can supply a link to one "en Espaniol"  :P
This guy and the spanish one have different approaches in what the crankshaft locking pin is concerned. This brit does not use it at all, at least I don't remember him placing it. The spanish bloke uses it, but says it should _not_ be in place when breaking the main nut, or when tightening the nut back to 190Nm. RepoMan says it should be in place exactly when dealing with the nut. I don't know....  :o

i have tried using a crankshaft locking pin and going without. Refitting the clutch basket is 10 times easier with the pin! I used an appropriately sized allen key to do the job - just don’t lose it inside the engine!

Oh, and be CERTAIN that the oil pump drive sprocket tabs are aligned with the slots on the basket before tightening the nut, that’s all I’m going to say on that one before the bad thoughts come back.

Here is every video I've found about the clutch.

Thanks for that play list. I have watched about half of those. But the "kangaroo start" video was new to me, very useful.

Well mine is all back together had a bit of rattle at first start up but all seems well now still got a little judder hoping it will settle but to say the frictions were reclaimed from another bike and its a hundred times better than before I cant complain.
Fitted the 'R' top yoke with a little bit of persuasion.... going to take her out for a proper run tomorrow.

P.S. anyone know where I can get a set of clutch springs or the specs.

On my side, this weekend was not very successful.

On Saturday I replaced the hydraulic fluid, and that didn't go too bad. I just hope it is not as corrosive as break fluid, because I was able to spray the bike and myself with it.  ::)

The clutch biting point is still the same, with the lever very close to the grip. But the biting point zone now is a bit  wider, not so sharp as before. And the old fluid was very dirty, it really needed a replacement. So I am glad I did that.

But on Sunday (today), replacing the clutch did not work. I simply was not able to break the clutch basket nut. Went by push bike to a Homebase nearby to get an extension bar, and with it I was able to break  two ratchets that I have, and also to round a bit of the corners of the nut. So really not a good job at all.

At least I was able to adjust the tension on the oil pump driver chain. The adjusting bolt can be accessed with the clutch basket on, so not all work was in vain.

I am now back home, and even before showering and changing, I have order a 750mm breaker bar, and a new nut from Motorworks. Next weekend I'll try again...

Yes, but how much would that be? I don't have a pressurised air system, and I don't know if an electric impact wrench would work. I saw a few for sale, and they cost close to £200. I was hoping I could do this cheaper with some hand tools, like the Spanish guy in the videos...

I think you can pick up a reasonably priced electric impact wrench from Ebay and elsewhere.
