Auto screen lowering
« on: September 22, 2017, 09:52:01 am »
My new bike is making it's presence felt in my garage (getting in the way). I need to park it with the screen up so that I can fold the mirrors in properly.

Bike says "NO! You will have a lowered screen whether you like it or not" (it didn't actually speak...)

Anyone know how to leave the screen up?

It's a security feature. The screen drops down and the Sat Nav gets locked in. You could try pushing the Sat Nav release button before you turn the ignition off?

I know why it does it! I don't have a sat nav and I need the screen to stay up so that I can fold the mirrors properly.

I am capable of deciding to move the screen down if ever I need to.

Cheers Steve, glad you put me straight on that. Just trying to help.

Did you try pushing the Sat Nav release button before turning the ignition off? The screen will stay up, and you will just need to click the shelf back down when you use it.

Well done!! that works fine, push the button, ignition off, screen does not move, then push the housing down as required.

I misunderstood your initial reply, I thought you meant that the screen would stop when it hit the sat nav housing.

Careful!! Don't upset me now! Just as the screen problem is sorted. I can feel K1600GTL top box removal & Mercedes GLC memory seat  rants re-surfacing!!
