I quite like the look of them too. Saving up for better shock absorbers at the moment.

I have the K1200R Sport. It wasn't made in 1300 form. It was cheaper than the 1300 models.

I will give Revs Racing a call. I am also trying to track down Tim Rose. He supplied and fitted E≠mc Endurance shocks to my R1100S. I was very happy with them.

I find that I would like better damping on the front, it's too bouncy when I am pushing on a bit. I would prefer more quality at the back with ride height adjustment. I don't mind adjusting suspension, but I am having to compensate for the lack of adjustment at the front, damping is essential.

I am considering upgrading the shocks on my K1200R Sport. It is the non ESA version. Any advice on what I can expect to pay for replacements by various manufacturers? I have had a quote from Maxton but I think it's out of my price range. Ohlins is probably too expensive also. I would consider second hand for the right items. Any idea where to look other than Ebay?

I have one just like yours. I fancied something a bit loony before I got too old to handle it. I found all of my favourite roads got a whole lot shorter and the bends got tighter. Sounds great when you give it some revs. I went to Spain on it last year (through France) with my missus on the back. I thought I would find it uncomfortable after my GS 1200 but surprisingly it was so comfortable, I love the riding position.

I will give it a go.

They said it was because it was the start of the biking season and were urging restraint. I think a couple of bikers were killed on the same stretch of road this time last year.

Out in North Wales on Saturday, the police were pulling the bikers in for a pep talk and a quick once over of the bikes. The guy in front of me was having his front tyre checked for depth. The officre looked at my back tyre (PR4)and said nothing, looked at the front and said "have you put a new front on?" I told him it had covered 5 thousand miles. Result. Excellent tyres, will be sticking with them.

Whisky and Erdinger are not mutually exclusive. You can have both. No problem.

Who's Who? / Hi from Mac

Hello folks new member Mac from the Wirral, previously registered on the old K site. Glad to be back amongst other K owners. My current, (first) K Series bike is a K1200 R Sport which I think suits me perfectly. Fast, comfortable, economical. Not too many around either which is also nice compared to the relative anonymity when riding my previous bike, an R1200GS, a very worthy bike, but it's the K which lights my fire.
