a succumbed to Covid
b drunk yourself into oblivion
c clocked your boss and got locked up

Glad to see you are OK and also that the bike is out and about once more. Brian

a .... thankfully I avoided people and stayed locked up in my ivory tower
b ... almost
c .... there's been occasions but no :D

Welcome back Steve.

I still slightly regret selling my K1 although doing so help a friend through a difficult time in his life so it was for the best.

I still have, stashed in a cupboard somewhere, a completely brand new, still in original BMW box, tail luggage pack for one of those. Both the main bag and the two side cases. I need to dig them out one day and put them on eBay I think.

How much? :D

Lovely.
One of only 42 registered in the UK:

I really like the look. But I also like purple as a colour, so I really can't be trusted in matters of taste.

and only 6 on the road (the 5 in the list plus mine :D )

Hey Steve! Good to hear from you! :)

Do let us know how you find the warranty issues etc stats vary between the two marques! I'm on a 1290GT now :).

Cool, so far all seems OK. The only expected hiccough is that KTM parts availability aren't as slick as BMW's but then few bike manufacturers can compete with a well oiled car companies parts infrastructure

So with covid the K1 didnt get used, and of course the fan siezed. So a new upgrade Spal fan fitted and a shiny new MoT and she's good to go again.

Used it during the recent heatwave and it coped admirably (better than the rider :D)

... the future's orange

Well we at Chester Motorrad are shortly transitioning to a KTM retailer. By July the BMW franchise will be gone. We will of course still be able to service BMW's as we have the same techs etc.

I suspect they're doing prep work for the forthcoming 40mph speed restrictions. Possibly average cameras too :(

It's 5 minutes from my gaff, a mate has been up to the café via the "old" road that's behind the cafe

I sorned my BoxerCup, K1 and R80.

I've left the 800GS, RT and X3 at present. Although may well do the RT and X3 at the end of the month if it is going to be a longer thing. The X3 is almost £50 a month so a good chunk.

The 800GS is good enough for shopping with its panniers.

But, if Scotland get their kilts in a flap and leave, we brits (lower case b note) won't know what our flag looks like  :(

… but if Wales left the flag wouldn't change :(

What I cannot understand about Nicola Sturgeon and her desire to leave the United Kingdom is her fervency to remain in the EU. So loathes Government from Westminster but is happy with Government from Brussels

So my boss asked if I'd be getting new centre caps to compliment the refurbed wheels, I said probably, then he pointed out that BMW did self righting wheel centres :) with a bit of staff discount they've worked out a tenner more than the retail on the standard ones, can't wait to get the car back and fit them :D

Oh no, another 4 BMW bearings that will need replacing, soon.

2 year warranty on parts :)
