Agreed, but what a cock-up by BMW, coming up with a cure for the dreaded camchain jump (caused by a design fault meaning the chain went slack on start up in the first place due to the tensioner losing oil, mainly when sat on the sidestand) which then causes the guide to sit too high causing seal damage and an oil leak.
Having never had reason to dive into the clutch on the K13 (that's doomed me), I always thought that the jump guard was only a K12 sticking plaster. Mine had it fitted by Bahnstormer along with the later, taller, tensioner.
So do all K13's have the jump guard fitted as standard?
