You will need to get the latest firmware and the App on your phone to activate them or the PC software

It seemed to go OK on the day, I think you must have put voodoo on it after you got home.

Almost an RIP for my 20S Evo, I discovered that my microphone wasn't working when I gave mine and Melanie's intercoms a once over to make sure they were working OK. I wouldn't have discovered this in my normal riding as the phone and GPS were working fine. I tried a spare microphone and swapped units to make sure I diagnosed the problem accurately, it was definitely the microphone socket that was at fault. So I ordered the Sena clamp kit which comes with the helmet clamp and the three types of microphone and various sponges and sticky pads. It cost me 66 quid but it's cheaper than two new units, I'll live with that for a while before I think about an upgrade.  :-\

Sheesh. I'm now hoping mine lasts until June!

You'll be fine Matt, I've had mine for a few years now and it gets used frequently, so I have no complaints.

I just finished installing the new HD speakers into my Schuberth and the difference is night and day, at least in terms of volume, way louder than the old bits and slimmer too.

Despite it all working after the firmware update on the Sena a couple of weeks ago, it all had a funny five minutes getting connected correctly after the new phones went in. Weird.

Probably needs a good service. I'll pop it along to the local church on Saturday and see if it is any better when I get it back on Monday.

Hehe thanks Rae and Richard!

Brian: have you tested them in anger? Grrrr
I just be doing something wrong as mine after about 60mph become a bit difficult to make out. Saying that, my setup only works if the phone ISN'T paired to the headset, so I haven't checked in a while if it's all enabled. Or if it even has to be going through phone to work with the HD ones, eek!

You need to set up the HD speakers through the app. It's also very important that you have the speakers positioned directly by your ears. Just 10mm off can make a huge difference.

I think that's probably my main problem. Positioning. I might try the biggest offsets next.

The way I do it is thus, put the velcro pad in the helmet roughly where you need it then put a long piece of paper between the velcro pad and the speaker, find the best spot and slide the paper out and press the speaker into place.

Are you saying you don't put the velcro pads on your ears Rae?

Maybe that's where I'm going wrong...

Thanks Rae! I fiddled with them a bit today and got it better. The ear cups in the Shoei aren't where my ears are, which makes it a bit difficult without modifying the check pads. But I shoved them down and forward a bit and it's better now.

What I have done in the past if the cut outs were not in the right place is, use a Stanley or Exacto type knife and put a piece of tape on the blade at the thickness of the speakers and cut the foam in a criss-cross pattern and remove the foam to that depth. I'm not talking about hacking it to death just remove enough to get the speakers in the right place. My current Schuberth has elongated cut outs that just happen to be right for my ears.
