For Sale / Wanted / K1300S/R Remus Exhaust Can - SOLD
« on: September 06, 2018, 05:06:33 pm »
Hi everyone

I'll have a K1300S/R Remus titanium Hexacone can (no cat) for sale in a couple of weeks if anyone is interested. It's in VGC, 2 years old.
Sounds good and smoothes the power delivery, with a bit better throttle response.  Has a removable baffle for hooligans.
Includes a cute carbon heat shield from the USA. Over £600 new, £300 if you collect, post TBA.

Cheers Mark

Apologies if this is an old subject....

I have to replace my RH mirror due to an unscheduled impact. How far into the fairing do I have to rummage to find the indicator connector?

Just trying to save some work...  :)

For sale, in excellent condition. Also fits K1200S (I think......)

Going for nearly £200 on Fleabay so I'm asking £150.

Probably best to collect but I'll post it if necessary, at cost.

...if that's the correct term. The thing like an EXUP.

How do I know if it's seized or generally not happy?

The 24000 miler is due on my K13 soon. As it had the works done at the 18000, what should I expect to cough up for?

Or I could start DIY-ing now it's 7.5 years old....

K1200 / K1300 Forum / K1300S final drive leak
« on: May 07, 2017, 08:33:26 am »
Yesterday I spotted a bit of oil mist on the final drive aound the plastic cover on the outbord side.

I'm assuming the seal is leaking a bit. As I can't find my workshop manual DVD can anyone tell me if it's much of a job to change, please?
The bike is a late '09 with 23,000 miles on.

Ta very much

K1200 / K1300 Forum / K1300S Levers
« on: April 06, 2017, 11:13:38 am »
Should the standard brake and clutch levers have the same amount of reach adjustment?

I have fairly stumpy fingers and the clutch is a bit of a stretch even when it's set as near to the grip as possible. The brake is fine however, I can set that easily with adjustment to spare....

Nothing looks bent.

Not a review but a request for one (or more)....

Anyone own(ed) a Schuberth S2? Any useful info/opinions gratefully received. I like the look of the S2 Sport, tried one on in Helmet City on Sunday and it fits me well and is pretty light...

K1200 / K1300 Forum / ASC/ABS warnings
« on: September 02, 2016, 07:17:35 pm »
Not sure if this is a fault or not....

There are a couple of dippy sections on the A303 that set off my ASC if I'm moving on a bit. However I get the yellow triangle on constantly, the ASC symbol and the brake failure warning. These all stay on until I switch the ignition off/on, then it's all back to normal. Also the brake lever feels like the ABS is off. This is the only time all these things are lit up together.

I can't work out what's going on here - the owner's handbook isn't much help.
Any ideas please?

Cheers

K1200 / K1300 Forum / Spare Bulbs for La France
« on: August 25, 2016, 08:24:09 pm »
Going to France on the K13 in September. I read that it's the law over there to have a spare bulb kit - does this apply to bikes?

If so, do BMW (or anyone) have a spare bulb kit for the K13, since it has comedy indicator bulbs on the front, I believe....

Also will I need a dip beam deflector thing (and ditto on the source)?

Cheers

In excellent condition, with adaptor plate for Givi Monolock top box.

When I took it off the bike I lost one of the fixing screws, but I guess you could use one from the grabrails....

Tyres / Michelin Pilot Road 3/4 Specs
« on: August 01, 2016, 10:42:45 pm »
This is probably an old one, but for the K1300S what would be the recommended weight/load rear fitment in PR3 or PR4, ie "B" for the PR3 or "GT" for the PR4, or standard for either?
Hope that makes sense.

The bike is used for all rider/pillion/load combinations.

Thanks
Mark

Went to fit my Nuvi 390 power cable and found there isn't room under the bike's battery cover for the voltage dropper box. Before I start taking the bike apart, can anyone point me in the direction of a suitable space around the tank or thereabouts please?

Cheers Mark
