...and National Grid are turning me off tomorrow at 08:30 till 4 so they can cut some trees somewhere but they did at least give me almost a month's notice and sent a text today to remind me. Looks like tea being brewed on the BBQ for the duration. Especially if the trees bring the lines down...

Both the 'pristine' Motorsports on AT have been there a while. One is a dealer in Scotland, the other guy is emigrating to Spain and the price keeps coming down but it has rot.

Opinions differ on the easiest/best way, as I use a Hornig RAM Ball Mount in the inner end of the left bar (or right if you prefer).

This keeps the device closer to the left hand (or right if you don't want to fiddle on the move) and considerably higher than the Triple Clamp location for much easier viewing without having to look down too far. Also, it doesn't obstruct the ignition lock.

Either way, most folks agree that the BMW battery cover mount is a no-no if you ever want to use a tank bag and also want to see your device.

I wonder if we have any Chinese language experts herein.

It seems such a beautifully structured character set and much more complex than 'ours', but I wonder how easy it is to hand write in Chinese.

David, your current set up is different from the one I saw, which afair was only front facing.

What is the one you are using now?

Having just installed a couple of Fit Cam X cams in the rear view mirror housing of the car and swimbo's car, my thoughts turned to the bike, especially after Rae's easy to deal with rear-ender which might have been different if it had been a car with intent to sod off.

Phillipe gave me a set of front and rear cams which he could never get working and nor could I and if I trip over them in the garage one more time I shall scream.

Back to the bike.. aluminium surface corrosion, does it really matter? I don't think it does TBH.

Well, of course it matters. To me! I have been trying to find a 'pristine' late plate Motorsport. Even with less than 5,000 miles they have more corrosion than mine so I won't be buying either of them.

Of course, if someone comes to see your bike and has seen all the others with the rot then it is down to price and mileage.

However, early K12's seem immune from the tin rot...

Yes, the upper and lower marks on the sight tube compare to what you would have on the real dipstick as Max and Min levels.

If you are the sort who can get off the bike and hold it upright without it falling on you (like Richard, unlike me) then you can check it off the stand but it must be upright and not on the sidestand and the 30 second wait time is because it is a 'damp sump' (© Stormin Norman) setup so you have to wait for the oil to settle back in the oil tank and sump.

No, the Philip specials. Costas used the Chinese knock off ones and they seemed to work well. Or was that TPMS sensors? Wouldn't work well as coils...

I would always advertise bikes on Auto Trader and take out a protected number so you don't get spammed to death. AT will also give you a comparable idea of current value.

Don't be fazed by the wheel carrier rot, two of the 'Pristine' Motorsports on AT at the moment have more rot on the front than my 2012 Sport. Good luck with the sale.

See, there's your proof! You didn't change the bearings and you get shunted up the jacksie.

Change them bearings folks... :)

I didn't notice if they had locks the on the wheels coz I can see leaving the bike in one corner of the shed and coming back in the morning to find it in the opposite corner... :)
