For Sale / Wanted / BMW K1300S for sale
« on: May 01, 2022, 10:02:07 am »
Sadly i am looking to sell my K1300S

Bought it last year from BMW oxford and thoroughly enjoyed having it. Didnt get to do any big trips on it but been lured back on to an adventure bike that does everything for me (for now😁)

The bike is a 2010 model with under 12500 miles and  in superb condition with about 15 months BMW warranty remaining. Sat nav cradle (but no nav) and akrapovic exhaust. Looking for £6250. Will try and get some better pictures later in the month.

Based in Essex if anyone wants to view

Anyone know what size the torx bolt is that holds the silencer on to the hanger on K1300s? Mine seems to have rusted?

I opted for this and it is first class at reducing buffeting and throwing the air over the top .. also no fiddly allen key to adjust  https://www.bikehps.com/acatalog/BMW_K1300S_2009_onwards_MRA_Adjustable_Motorcycle_Touring_Screens.html#aCL42516b

Funnily enough thats exactly what i have got but couldn't find a happy medium. Maybe its coming from an adventure bike with a tall screen.

Was out again on Sunday and the best setting i could find still created a lot of wind noise at the top of my lid. To be fair i wasn’t wearing ear plugs as it was a “just popping to the shops” run. With noise cancelling earphones it would probably have been fine as there wasn't any buffeting.

Was just curious on these Madstad screens but as i have an adventure bike as well its not an issue and nice to have different options.

Anyone tried the madstad adjustable screen on the K13S?

Current set up seems to direct the air to the top of my lid which creates a lot of wind noise (even with ear plugs) so looking for something to throw the air over the top ideally

Payment sent

 :winkthumbs:

Looking for some peace but extra performance would be a plus. Shouldn't it reduce the performance though?

Should be able to find a small screw that will fit although as you say may not need it

Seems to be the V-TUV050. There is also the V-TUV050/3 but not sure if they are the same?

Anyone know where to get a replacement baffle for the akrapovic on a K1300S or the part reference number? Just got the bike, and still loving it, but want to quieten it down a bit as the the un baffled akra is pretty loud (and turns me into a bit of hooligan!  :-[)

Better still if anyone has a spare they want to sell let me know

Posted in another section but picked up a lovely K1300S at the weekend. Probably done more miles in the last 3 days than i have in the last 12 months!

Nice to be back on something sporty again but with effortless pace!  :winkthumbs:

Already have a shopping list for extras!

Any recommendations for tank bags or tail packs? Would be handy to be able to fit a helmet in the tail pack just to save carrying if i stop on a day out

Nice one. Did it come with the Sport Cases?

No sport cases so will find a set of them once i need them. Might get a tail pack or tank bag for now though
