I’m certainly not fessing up to a date, but the first Euro trip I did was on a near new early 750 Kawasaki two stroke...and it did the gearbox crank seal on the way home from the SoF and I put 5l of oil in the gearbox...

Since then averaged anything between 2 and 5 trips a year ever since until bloody Covid, things to concentrate on....have a plan if you break down, and what riding gear you are going in A. For when it’s pissing down and B. For riding in the heat.

Only ever put up with one other rider travelling with us, and he still reminds me of the rules I quoted to him...When we are 500 miles down the road and your arse is killing you and your either freezing cold or absolutely cooked....I’m not listening...and he stuck to those rules for many years, the free WSB/Moto GP tickets I used to get did help 😀

We are all now safely back in the UK. The weather was very very kind to us, sunny every day with not a drop of rain in sight. The mornings were slightly chilly but warmed up by lunchtime. We had some good coffee and lunch stops.

The only fly in the ointment was from me, I got a massive puncture which we managed to plug but it gave up in the end and I had to have a new tyre fitted.
Whilst it was bad news getting the puncture the good news was the price to have a new one fitted. Next time I need new tyres I think I’ll organise a trip to France to get them fitted.
I got a Pirelli Angel GT II (180 x 55 x 17) fitted for the equivalent of £147, now I call that a bargain. Sportsbikeshop have them at £178 not fitted. You may be able to get them elsewhere a bit cheaper but I love the French price.
I’ll post up some photos of the trip from Richard a bit later.

Sounds great for the most part then! Great result! I look forward to the photos :).
