K1300S Fairing screw sizes and locations

A couple of diagrams illustrating the position of the different fairing screws


As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everybody is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

It's really interesting because the RepROM is at odds with the parts fiche like RealOEM.

Take the screen bolts, the piccies from the repROM above show them as being M5 x 20 whereas the fiche shows them being M5 x 12 (which is way too short for the rubber 'T' nuts).

Brian (who is still looking for the correct Flanged Button Head Torx bolts, preferably in black, very black  :o )

You must have some paint left over?

Its a black bike, do it with the bolts screwed in. It won't notice.

Very usefull Tom.

Something I could have done with after the fuel pump re-call.

Managed to loose 2 fairing screws on the 20 mile ride home after the spanner monkey forgot to tighten them.

Another good reason to do your own maintenance methinks.
