The Euro K Club Lounge / End of an era...

Well.... Last month I sold my RT .. in preference to my KGT.
Then recently got offered a higher spec, newer RT.... Keyless, audio, dynamic package, central locking topcase with brake light. ... And a silly PX offer on the K. So it's had to go, saving me the £40 a month on the extended warranty.
All in all I loved owning the K. Yes there were downs but mostly ups and it was a breathtaking hi performance touring bike that's tough to better.

So over Xmas, whilst bored I sorted am old drawer out and found a 1998 credit card from Egg.
It got me thinking, everyone goes on about PPI etc. A quick Google found that Egg is now administered by Canada Square.
Filled in their online form and a short while later was stunned to find two cheques from the for PPI compensation. One for the card and one for a loan I'd forgotten about!
The card was a few pence under a £1000 and the loan one was <gulp> £5300 ..... stunned absolutely stunned.
Of course because I did it myself there's no 20 % to pay to a 3rd party. However, I think I may give one of the 3rd party companies my details now to see if they can find anything else.
What a way to start a year !!!

Well .... last week I popped to Demon Tweeks to have some tyres fitted to the K. Enjoyed riding it that much it finally made me make a decision ..... as great a tourer as the RT is, I miss the HP of the K so I've sold the RT.
Effectively it's only job was the annual trek to the highlands and the K can, and has done, do the job admirably.
My 800GS has a bit of finance left on it so I can clear that too

BMW Softbag 2 Straps
I've searched high and low and appear to have lost the straps for my BMW Softbag (they "may" have been left in a top case I sold)
They're not shown as available separately from BMW so on the off chance that someone may have a set hanging around I thought I'd ask here

Had a visitor at work today, the owner of the Boxertrix forum of which I'm one of the moderators, enroute to the empty beauty of Scotlandshire from the toxic wastelands of "darn sarf"
He popped in to say hi, and to thank me for helping out on the forum and to wish a belated happy birthday .... along with a bottle of 23 year old Ardbeg Islay malt from his personal bottlings

Every year I pop up to the Lobster Pot Seafood Restaurant in Church Bay, Anglesey for a lobster lunch
Pulled the Boxercup out of the garage this morning, will be riding up to the A5 to meet a mate before we carry on to Church Bay.
