Title: Finaly some dry roads
Post by: jesim1 on January 04, 2019, 02:46:45 am
Seasons greeting to everyone, hope you all had a trouble free time over the festive season.

I actually managed to get the bike out today (K1600GTLE) for a 60 mile bumble along some dry roads now that it has not rained where I live in the past few days - it take so long for it to dry up due to the temperature being just around 3/4 degrees lately - which it was again today, but it was toasty with the heated grips and seat and a full Gortex suit, the only way to travel - well, in this weather anyway ;D

Just had about 2 and 1/2 hours out and time for a coffee to break it up, a great day with no low sun in the sky but bright(ish) and calm - perfect for keeping the old girl running over the winter for us fair weather riders 8) .

Looking to order an RDL seat to upgrade the existing one as I have a few longer trips as the year goes on and the standard one has me thinking about it instead of the ride, so needs to go.

Don't fall off guys...…………

James

You're lucky.

Out here in the sticks the mud trails from the last of the harvest/muck spreading/weeding/fertilising (whatever the hell they do that needs tractors on the roads 24/7) are now frozen ruts (but only in the bends where the locals slow down to 10 mph) so you can go really fast on the straight bits....and then  :o

Even the off-roader doesn't like it  8)
