A rider should be able to walk all round their bike supporting it with one hand without a stand down. This has to be part and parcel of owning a bike surely.
Why?
I own a bike and don't/can't/won't do it! So it obviously isn't part and parcel etc.
Since getting my licence in 1964 I have not once had the need or the urge to walk all around any bike supporting it with one hand without a stand down. If I decide I need to do circus acts, I'll join a circus.
Next time I get the urge or have the need, I'll call you
Brian (who can walk all around his car supporting himself with one hand without a stand down )
There?
Stop being picky!
Could it be the canbus system monitoring the current draw cutting the start system out,
Thinking out loud, if the cable size is border line and a hot engine draws more amps on
starting, cable resistance go’s up canbus thinks there is a problem and shuts the circuit down.
It could be, and probably is, a combination of the wire guage and the stater relay ratings being wrong.
I've never tested the current draw, but a recently charged battery (cos the engine is hot) and a warm one to boot, together with hot, thinner oil and all working parts lubed up should produce a lower cranking current; a cold engine with a cold battery is a bugger to turn over.
