Oh, and the best bit - a side stand. Why aren't they standard? Wouldn't be without it.

Your bike didn't come with a side-stand?

Brian (whose bike did, but he fitted a centre-stand and can't understand why they don't come with one of those
 8) )

Doh. Centre-stand :-)

Come on Rae, time for your tablets.

Brian (who is sure the Garmin reference was my words in quotes  ::) )

Could Rae be persuaded to offer a pre-posting poof reading service?

Oh there I go again; dropping my "R"s  ;)

Good advice; I could really do with saving a fortune just.

Quote from Brian's post - First up is the headlamp protector, you don't wanna know how much a new headlamp is!

Just seen a headlamp bird strike and found out how much a replacement is,

Where did you get your protector, what make is it and how much did it cost?

Seen them from £18 to £40+ but what is the best value?
Its not always the destination that counts its the ride, having a destination just stops you going round in circles.

" Just seen a headlamp bird strike and found out how much a replacement is "

Yes, thought that was a good idea too.
How much is a replacement headlamp ?

I had a pheasant hit the screen on my TL1000 at about 90 once.
It completely wrecked the screen & probably wouldn't have done me much good either, but luckily saw it coming & managed to get my head down onto the tank in time.
