The Euro K Club Lounge / This thing is a "bit of a weapon"
« on: April 24, 2015, 09:58:36 am »
Well having joined the K1200 fold officially last weekend I can say that this thing is a bit of a weapon. - 800 miles in less than a week so far and I'm a very happy camper  :D

To be fair coming off my old hacks to this requires a bit of a re calibration of the senses to ride with a high level of enthusiasm.

Having already put it down once when it flopped off the side stand onto my foot I've ordered up a full set of R&Gs all round as the BMw protectors don't really do a lot.

Next job will be to do something to the seat as my nether regions seem to be in distress after a couple of hours in the saddle.
I also need to send the replacement handbook/service book up to Harry Fairburns to get it stamped up to date to keep the warranty people happy.

Bringing it back from scotland was eventful as at 6'4" I am clearly not designed to go pillion on any bike, even a blackbird and on the way back the REG Rec died a death on the firestorm so every stop we had to switch batteries with the Blackbird. Good job its fuel range just about matched its battery range.

Here's a poor quality phone pick from one of the battery changes !
