Title: Fairing Screws - Trivia Question
Post by: Foothills on April 01, 2021, 05:42:29 pm
So, I'm feeling a little silly.  I'm doing the 6,000 mile maintenance on my K1300s and have removed the side fairings.  As I'm starting to put them back on, I realize that there are a few screws that are longer than the others.  The majority of them are about 1/2" (12mm) but there are some (8 I think) that are longer.  Does anyone know where the longer ones are used?  I should have noticed as I was removing them but just didn't catch it...   :-[

Use up all the short ones first and where they don't fit use the long ones  ;D

From what I remember, I used the longer ones inside the radiator cowl.

Belated thirded yep! I remember the same feeling and laying them all out to remember what went where. The S1000rr was the same too, even after its fancy rubber bung fitted bits.
